Awards SMIT 2016


SMIT conference in Delft, 5-8 October 2016 was a great success for iSMIT with 270 attendees and 44 master students and excellent presentations. Great thank goes to Jenny Dankelman and John van den Dobbelsteen for this perfect organization.
We are very proud to announce the following conference prize winners:

Technology award
Anna Rethy - Realistic organ phantom with flow for multimodal image-guided liver therapy research and training


Young Investigator award
Steven Beekmans - In situ dynamic mechanical analysis of soft tissue at the tip of a 19G needle

1st Presentation award
Alexander Jaeger - A light-dependent training tool for flexible cystoscopy

2nd Presentation award
Daniel Ostler - A self-adjusting monitor mount for minimally invasive surgery

3rd Presentation award
Loďc Blanc - Granular jamming as controllable stiffness mechanism for endoscopic and catheter applications
